Worthy State Officers, Counselors, and Squires,
Manuel Joseph Mayers Circle 2558 will be hosting the Squires State Fishing Tournament, which will be held at Lamar Dixon Expo Center, in Gonzales, LA. This is a good time to come out and experience some sportsmanship and brotherhood together. You will need to register every Squire that wishes to fish. Registration will begin at 7:00 AM and continue until 8:00 AM, if you arrive late, you will be allowed to compete. No Registration fees . The rodeo ends at Noon with lunch being provided by Council 6389 of St. Amant, LA. There will be instructions, prayers, and pledge prior to starting.
Registration can be sent by email or Squires can sign up the morning of the event. The boy’s will begin fishing at 8:00 AM. Please bring your own tackle, pole, and bait. We will separate individual Squires into Juniors (10-13) and Seniors (14-18). Fishing will stop at 11:00AM and the Knights of Columbus Council 6389 will provide lunch. Immediately following lunch, awards and prizes will be handed out.
If you are staying the weekend, mass can be attended at Holy Rosary in St.Amant at 4:00 PM Saturday and 9 and 11:00AM on Sunday and hotels, Tanger outlet mall, and Cabela’s Outfitters are nearby. We will be tent camping the Friday evening (10-28-2011) night no charge. You can set up your tent starting at 4:00 pm
