Worthy State Officers, Counselors, and Squires,
Sacred Heart of Jesus Squires Circle 4444 is inviting all the Columbian Squires, Counselors and State Officers to the Squires State Retreat, which will be held January 11 through January 13, 2013. We will walk and pray the rosary during the Annual Pro Life March and revitalize our faith and share brotherhood with other Squires and other Catholics from the area. You will need to register every Squire that wishes to attend. The fees are $10.00 per Squire, which will cover the food, shirts, and materials for the retreat. Please write one check per Circle to: Louisiana State Squires and mail in by January 5, 2013. We will start registration at 7:00 PM on Friday until 10:00 PM and again between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM Saturday morning.
Friday evening will consist of registration, movies, food, and games. Saturday morning we will begin with breakfast and the Pro Life March with speakers. Our session will start after the March with expanding our Catholic Faith. Then lunch, we will have time for reflection and fellowship, Vocations understanding, games and other activities. Fr. Keith Landry will be in attendance with us to offer the importance of Confession and offer Confession to those who choose to. We will attend Mass on Saturday evening prior to dinner and more fellowship. Sunday morning will consist of opportunities to learn about various Saints, more games and fellowship.
We plan on departing late morning/early afternoon on Sunday. We ask that you provide us a “hard attendance number” prior to January 5, 2013 in order to plan for meals, materials, and accommodations. Any counselors interested in helping with and assisting with any particular Catholic enhancement is welcome. We also want to know if you have any special topics you wish to cover as well.
